About the QED Golden Anniversary XT Speaker Cable (Pair)

QED was formed in 1973, and this cable celebrates 50 years of the company. Each conductor combines nine bunches of 99.999% oxygen-free copper strands with one bunch of ultra-pure Ohno Continuous Cast copper. QED say it is the most affordable speaker cable to use continuous-cast copper.

X-Tube Plus combines QED’s hollow-core X-Tube layout with its Aircore design, to reduce both the skin effect and the proximity effect. A low-density polyethylene jacket with a golden Mylar wrap insulates the conductors, and cold-welded Airloc Forte plugs keep the connection tight.

It sits in QED’s Reference range. Use it from an amplifier or AV receiver to your speakers. It has won Editor’s Choice from Hi-Fi News and from ecoustics, a Recommended award from Hi-Fi Choice, a Best Buy from The Ear and a Deeply Groovy award from The Audiophile Man.

Genuine UK stock from an authorised QED dealer. Not sure which cable suits your system? Tell us what you have and we will suggest the right one. We install hi-fi, home cinema and multi-room audio across the New Forest and the south coast. See our audio and video work.
