About the SR325 Classic Open-Back Headphones
The Classic Series is Grado’s 2026 core range of open-back, hand-built Brooklyn headphones. It is built around the X2 driver platform and takes over from the earlier X-series models. The SR325 is the Classic Series model with metal housings.
Grado machines the aluminium housing to reduce unwanted resonance, and tunes the SR325 for speed and articulation. The Signature Silver headband assembly has a leather strap with white stitching and a steel spring band for adjusting the clamping pressure. F cushions suit its immediate, energetic sound, and the Signature Silver cable is fixed.
It is an open-back design, so expect an airy sound and some leakage, and use it in a quiet room. A headphone amplifier, streamer or DAC suits it well.

How does the SR325 differ from the SR80?
Same 44 mm X2 driver family, but the SR325 has an aluminium housing, a leather headband and the Signature Silver cable. Grado tunes it for speed, tight bass and crisp treble.
Are they comfortable for long sessions?
They are light, and the steel spring band lets you adjust the clamping pressure. Fit is personal, so ask us if you would like help choosing between cushion styles.
Is the cable detachable?
No, it is fixed. If you want detachable cables, look at the Signature Line.
