About the Grado Signature S550 Open-Back Headphones

The Signature Line is Grado’s high-end range. Every model has a detachable cable and an updated Signature headband, and the line grew out of the HP100 SE. The S550 is built for long listening sessions.

Each housing is made from Brazilian walnut, so the grain differs from pair to pair, and the S2 driver is tuned for that wood. B cushions are fitted, and the cable connects to each cup with a 4-pin mini XLR. The cable supplied is 6 ft long and ends in a 3.5 mm plug with a 6.3 mm adapter. Longer and balanced cables are available from Grado.

As an open-back design it lets sound escape and lets the room in, so it is best in a quiet room at home. It deserves a good headphone amplifier or DAC.

Genuine UK stock from an authorised Grado dealer. Not sure which pair suits your amplifier or your music? Ask us and we will help you choose. See our audio and video work.
