The GR3 is Goldring’s first turntable in more than 20 years. It comes with a Goldring E3 moving magnet cartridge already fitted and aligned, a built-in phono pre-amplifier, a phenolic resin platter and a gloss black plinth under a clear dust cover.

About the GR3 Turntable

The GR3 is made to be easy. The Goldring E3 is pre-fitted and pre-adjusted to the hand-assembled tonearm, and the built-in phono pre-amplifier means you can connect it to any amplifier or powered speaker without a separate phono stage.

Its phenolic resin platter has most of its mass at the rim, which adds a flywheel effect and keeps the speed steady, for low wow and flutter. A low-noise, low-vibration 24 V motor drives it, and the gloss black plinth carries Goldring gold branding.

Goldring suggest pairing it with Q Acoustics M20 or M40 powered speakers for a simple vinyl system, and list QED interconnects to connect it: a 1.5 m phono-to-phono lead and a 3 m phono-to-3.5 mm lead.

No. The GR3 has a built-in phono pre-amplifier, so it connects to any amplifier or powered speaker, according to Goldring.
