About the Q Acoustics M20 Powered Bookshelf Speakers (Pair)

The M20 is a pair of powered speakers that needs no separate amplifier. The powered speaker holds the amplifier, the inputs and the Bluetooth receiver, and the cable supplied connects it to the passive speaker.

Each speaker has a 125 mm mid/bass driver, a 22 mm decoupled tweeter and a rear-firing port. Bluetooth 5.0 supports aptX, aptX HD, aptX Low Latency, SBC and AAC, and USB and optical inputs accept up to 24-bit/192 kHz. There are also line-level RCA and 3.5 mm inputs and a subwoofer output.

The powered speaker can be set as the left or right channel to suit where the mains socket is, and an EQ switch adjusts the sound for corner, wall or free-space placement. FS50 floor stands and WB50 wall brackets are listed for it.

Genuine UK stock from an authorised Q Acoustics dealer. Want them set up properly? We install hi-fi, home cinema and multi-room audio across the New Forest and the south coast. See our audio and video work.

Questions about the Q Acoustics M20 Powered Bookshelf Speakers (Pair)

What do I get for the price?

A pair: one powered M20 and one passive M20, a remote handset with batteries, a 4 m speaker cable, UK and EU power cords, two foam bungs and a user manual.

Do I need an amplifier?

No. The powered speaker has the amplifier built in and drives the passive one through the supplied cable.

Can I connect a turntable?

The RCA input is line level, so a turntable needs its own phono preamp.

Can I add a subwoofer?

Yes, there is a subwoofer output. The Q SUB80 is one subwoofer Q Acoustics suggests for the M20.
