About the QED Reference Ethernet Cable
Reference Ethernet is made for streamers and network players. It has far more bandwidth than high-resolution audio needs, including 32-bit/384kHz and DSD512 files, with a rated maximum of 40 Gb/s. It complies with the Class I Category 8.1 standard.
Each twisted pair uses 24 AWG, 99.999% oxygen-free copper with a different twist rate, to reduce crosstalk. An aluminium Mylar wrap inside a foil wrap inside a ferrite-impregnated jacket cuts insertion loss. The gold-plated Telegärtner plugs have 360-degree shielded die-cast zinc bodies, which reduce return loss.
It sits in QED’s Reference range and is finished in white pearl PVC. Use it between a streamer, network player or server and a router or switch. Hi-Fi Choice gave it a Recommended award.

Questions about the QED Reference Ethernet Cable
Is it one cable?
Yes. It is a single patch lead with an RJ45 plug at each end.
Will it work with my streamer and router?
Yes, with any device that has a standard RJ45 network port. The cable is rated beyond what a typical home network uses, so the router and streamer set the speed.
Which length should I choose?
It comes in 1 m, 2 m, 3 m and 5 m. Measure between your streamer and the router or switch, and choose the next length up.
