About the WiiM Ultra

A compact aluminium streaming preamp that sits between your sources and an existing amplifier or powered speakers, bringing hi-res network streaming, TV sound and a turntable input together in one box. Day-to-day control is handled by a 3.5-inch touchscreen and the bundled voice remote, while the WiiM Home app adds room correction and detailed EQ. It can also drive headphones directly or feed an external DAC digitally.

Genuine UK-supplied WiiM from an authorised dealer. Want it set up properly? We install WiiM across the New Forest and the south coast. See our audio and video work.

Questions about the WiiM Ultra

Does the WiiM Ultra have an amplifier built in for passive speakers?

No. It is a streamer and preamp, so it needs powered speakers or a separate amplifier or receiver. To drive passive speakers directly, look at the WiiM Amp, Amp Pro or Amp Ultra.

Can I plug my turntable straight in?

Yes. It has a phono input that accepts both moving-magnet and moving-coil cartridges, and a ground adapter is supplied, so no separate phono preamp is needed.

Does the Ultra support AirPlay 2?

No, WiiM lists AirPlay 2 as unsupported on the Ultra. Apple users can stream through the WiiM Home app, Spotify or TIDAL Connect, Google Cast-enabled apps or Bluetooth instead.
