About the QED Performance Optical Cable
An optical link sends digital audio as pulses of light, so it is not affected by electrical noise. What matters is the quality of the fibre, how well the ends are polished and how the cable is built. This one uses low-loss PMMA fibre, 1 mm across, with a fluorinated polymer cladding, and a reduced-dispersion design.
The jacket is flexible stone grey TPE, 6 mm across, built for everyday use.
It is part of QED’s Performance range. Use it between a TV, soundbar, streamer, CD player or games console and an amplifier, receiver or DAC with a Toslink optical input.
Genuine UK stock from an authorised QED dealer. Not sure which cable suits your system? Tell us what you have and we will suggest the right one. We install hi-fi, home cinema and multi-room audio across the New Forest and the south coast. See our audio and video work.

Questions about the QED Performance Optical Cable
Is it one cable?
Yes. It is a single optical lead with a Toslink plug at each end.
Does it work with a TV or soundbar?
Yes, as long as the equipment has a Toslink (optical) output and input. Your TV’s menu decides which audio format it sends.
Which length should I choose?
It comes in 0.75 m, 1.5 m and 3 m. Optical cables should not be bent sharply, so allow gentle curves in the route.
