About the WiiM Pro Plus

A small square network streamer made to plug into the amplifier, receiver or powered speakers you already own. Its upgraded AKM converter gives a cleaner analogue output than the standard Pro, while optical and coaxial outputs let you hand off to an external DAC if you prefer. A voice remote is included.

Questions about the WiiM Pro Plus

Do I need a separate DAC with the Pro Plus?

Usually not. The upgraded AKM converter is the main reason to pick it over the Pro, so you can run RCA straight into an amp or active speakers. If you already own a DAC you like, use the optical or coaxial output instead.

What is the difference between the WiiM Pro and Pro Plus?

They look identical and share the same streaming features. The Plus adds a higher-grade DAC and ADC, a 12V trigger output and a voice remote in the box.

Can I connect my TV to it?

Yes, via the optical input, but it only accepts stereo PCM, so set the TV's digital audio output to PCM. If you want HDMI ARC, the WiiM Ultra is the better fit.
