About the NODE ICON

The NODE ICON is the streamer for a serious hi-fi. Two ESS SABRE converters run in dual-mono, one per channel, feeding balanced XLR and RCA outputs into your amplifier or active speakers. A 5-inch full-colour screen shows artwork and track details, while the backlit touch panel gives you play, volume and presets without reaching for your phone.

It is just as at home with the TV: HDMI eARC brings TV sound into your system, and Dolby Digital is decoded on board. Headphone listeners get a THX AAA headphone amplifier with two full-size jacks. It joins every other Bluesound player in the BluOS multi-room system, and is ready for Dirac Live room correction.

Questions about the NODE ICON

Does the NODE ICON need an amplifier?

Yes. It is a streamer and preamp with no power amplifier inside, so connect it to an amplifier, AV receiver or active speakers. If you want streaming and amplification in one box, look at the POWERNODE.

What is the difference between the NODE and the NODE ICON?

Both stream the same services and join the same BluOS system. The ICON adds a second DAC for dual-mono operation, balanced XLR outputs, a 5-inch colour display, an aluminium case and two headphone jacks. If your amplifier has XLR inputs, the ICON is the one to choose.
