About the Q Acoustics 5050 Floorstanding Speakers (Pair)
The 5000 range pairs Q Acoustics’ C3 Continuous Curved Cone mid/bass driver with a 25 mm tweeter, a dark acrylic baffle panel and Point to Point cabinet bracing. The 5050 is its large floorstander, for bigger rooms and listeners who want the scale of a wide soundstage.
Two 150 mm drivers and a 39.7 litre cabinet reach 37 Hz (-6 dB), with 91.8 dB sensitivity. HPE tubes reduce internal standing waves, and Point to Point bracing keeps the cabinet inert. The grilles fix on magnetically.
Use it as a stereo pair or the front pair of a 5000 home cinema, with the 5090 centre and a Q SUB subwoofer.

Is the price for a pair?
Yes. The pair ships in two boxes, with two 5050 speakers, two grilles, two foam bungs, eight spike feet and covers, four rear stabilisers, eight M5 screws and two manuals.
What amplifier suits them?
Q Acoustics recommends 25 to 150 W. Nominal impedance is 6 ohm, with a 3.0 ohm minimum.
How are the grilles fitted?
Magnetically. The 5050 is supplied with magnetically fixed grilles, one for each speaker.
