About the SVS Prime Bookshelf Speakers (Pair)
Prime is SVS’ mid-priced passive speaker family. It borrows ideas from the older Ultra range, such as aluminium dome tweeters with a shaped diffuser, separate internal chambers for each driver and chamfered front baffles, at a lower price. The Bookshelf is its main standmount.
The 6.5-inch woofer sits in a dedicated internal compartment so the tweeter is not disturbed by its movement, and a flared rear port helps the bass. The SoundMatch 2-way crossover uses air-core inductors and crosses over at 2.3 kHz.
Use them on stands for stereo music, as front speakers in a cinema system, or with an SVS subwoofer as a compact 2.1 setup. Give the rear port a little room from the wall.

Which finishes are there?
Black Ash, or Gloss Black (piano gloss) at a higher price.
Do I need stands?
They sound best at ear height and a little away from the wall, so stands are a good idea. A sturdy shelf or unit works too.
