About the Primare I35 / I35 DAC / I35 Prisma Modular Integrated Amplifier

The I35 is the top integrated amplifier in Primare’s 35 series. It shares the I25’s full-width case and modular design but has a bigger output, 150 W per channel into 8 ohms and 300 W into 4 ohms, and two pairs of balanced XLR inputs alongside three RCA pairs.

The DM36 DAC module adds optical, coaxial and USB inputs with decoding up to PCM 384 kHz and DSD256. The SM35 Prisma module adds network streaming, multi-room and app control. Both can be fitted at the time of purchase or later.

It pairs naturally with the CD35 CD player or DD35 transport from the same series, and has the power for larger floorstanding speakers.

Questions about the Primare I35 / I35 DAC / I35 Prisma Modular Integrated Amplifier

How is the I35 different from the I25?

The I35 has more power (150 W rather than 100 W per channel into 8 ohms) and two balanced XLR inputs. Both share the same case and the same DAC and streaming modules.

Can I add the DAC or streaming module later?

Yes. The I35 is modular. The DM36 DAC module and the SM35 Prisma streaming module can be fitted later, so you can start with the analogue version and upgrade when you are ready. Ask us and we will quote for the module and fitting.

Which version should I choose?

Amplifier only if your sources are analogue or you already own a streamer and DAC. The DAC version for digital sources such as a TV or CD transport. The Prisma version if you want streaming and multi-room built in.

Is there a price difference between black and titanium?

No. Both finishes cost the same and the electronics inside are identical. Titanium is a brushed silver-grey front panel; black suits darker furniture and racks.
