About the Primare I25 / I25 DAC / I25 Prisma Modular Integrated Amplifier
The I25 sits in the middle of Primare’s integrated amplifiers, between the compact I15 and the I35. It uses UFPD 2, Primare’s own analogue class D amplifier design, rated at 100 W per channel into 8 ohms and 200 W into 4 ohms.
It is modular. The basic I25 has five pairs of analogue inputs. The I25 DAC adds the DM36 module, with optical, coaxial and USB inputs and a DAC that handles PCM up to 384 kHz and DSD256. The I25 Prisma adds the SM35 module as well, bringing network streaming and multi-room.
Because the modules slot into the same chassis, you can start with one version and upgrade later rather than replacing the amplifier.

Which version should I choose?
Amplifier only if all your sources are analogue or you already have a good streamer and DAC. The DAC version if you want to connect a TV, CD transport or computer digitally. The Prisma version if you want streaming built in as well.
Can I add the DAC or streaming module later?
Yes. The I25 is modular. The DM36 DAC module and the SM35 Prisma streaming module can be fitted later, so you can start with the analogue version and upgrade when you are ready. Ask us and we will quote for the module and fitting.
Will it drive difficult speakers?
It is rated at 200 W per channel into 4 ohms, which covers most floorstanding and standmount speakers. Tell us which speakers you have and we will advise.
Is there a price difference between black and titanium?
No. Both finishes cost the same and the electronics inside are identical. Titanium is a brushed silver-grey front panel; black suits darker furniture and racks.
