About the Monitor Audio Platinum 100 3G Bookshelf Speakers (Pair)
Platinum 3G is Monitor Audio’s flagship range: the MPD III high-frequency transducer and RDT III drivers in beautifully made cabinets with etched inlays, in piano black, piano ebony or pure satin white.
On rigid stands with the tweeters at ear height, standmounts give the clearest, most focused stereo picture, and they take up far less room than floorstanders.

Is the price for one speaker or a pair?
A pair. The Platinum 100 3G is sold as a pair.
What amplifier do I need?
Monitor Audio recommend 75 – 300 W. They deserve serious amplification: the Roksan Caspian 4G pre/power or Dual-Monoblock system is a superb match. Not sure? Tell us your room and we’ll suggest a pairing.
Do I need stands?
For the best sound, yes: a rigid stand puts the tweeters at ear height and away from the wall. Blok Axis stands are made for this, and Monitor Audio’s ST-2 Universal Stand also fits.
