About the AWC280 Weatherproof In-Ceiling Speaker

AWC speakers are made for places ordinary speakers aren’t: bathrooms, kitchens, verandas, covered terraces and even boats. They’re IP55 rated, with C-CAM drivers, stainless steel trimless grilles and fixings, EPDM seals and corrosion-resistant samarium cobalt magnets.

Is the price for one speaker or a pair?

One speaker.

What size hole do I need?

247 mm, with 97.6 mm of space above the ceiling.

What do I power it with?

Monitor Audio recommend 20 – 100 W. A multi-room or streaming amplifier such as the Bluesound POWERNODE or a WiiM Amp drives a pair nicely.

Can it stay outside all year?

Yes. It’s IP55 rated: protected against dust and jets of water. Use outdoor-rated cable, and we can fit and wire it for you.

Do you install them?

Yes. We design and fit garden and outdoor audio across the New Forest and the south coast, including cabling and amplification.
