About the SB-3000 R|Evolution Subwoofer

The SB-3000 R|Evolution is the sealed model in SVS’s 3000 R|Evolution series, the newest generation of its best-known subwoofer. Sealed means fast, controlled bass that suits both music and films.

The 13-inch driver has a vented aluminium cone, a cast aluminium basket and twin ferrite magnets. Its Class D amplifier delivers 1,200 watts continuous (over 4,000 watts peak), managed by a 295 MHz DSP that watches power, excursion and current thousands of times a second.

SVS Auto EQ in the app measures your room through your phone’s microphone (or the optional SVS Auto EQ Mic) and corrects the worst peaks. The rear OLED display, RCA and balanced XLR inputs, trigger and IR input make it easy to build into a larger system.

Questions about the SB-3000 R|Evolution Subwoofer

Is it sold singly?

Yes, the price is for one subwoofer. Many people run two for smoother bass across the room; ask us about a matched pair.

What does Auto EQ need?

Just the SVS Subwoofer Control app on your phone. It can measure with the phone’s own microphone, or with the optional SVS Auto EQ Mic for more consistent results.

Sealed SB-3000 or ported PB-3000?

The SB-3000 is smaller and a little tighter, which suits music and medium rooms. The PB-3000 goes slightly deeper and louder for films in bigger rooms, at the cost of a much larger cabinet.

Can I avoid running a cable to the subwoofer?

Yes. The USB socket on the amplifier powers the optional SVS SoundPath Wireless Audio Adapter, so the sub only needs a mains socket. Ask us and we can add one to your order.
