About the SB-1000 Pro Subwoofer

The 1000 Pro range is where SVS subwoofers start. The SB-1000 Pro is the sealed version: tight, quick bass that suits music as well as films, from a cabinet small enough for most living rooms.

The 12-inch long-throw driver is driven by a Sledge STA-325D Class D amplifier, 325 watts continuous with more than 820 watts peak. A 50 MHz DSP handles the low-pass filter, phase, room gain and parametric EQ, all adjustable from the SVS app at your seat.

It takes a line-level or LFE feed from an AV receiver, and also has speaker-level inputs, so it can be added to an older stereo amplifier that has no subwoofer output.

Genuine UK stock from an authorised SVS dealer. Not sure which subwoofer or speaker suits your room? Tell us the size of the space and what you listen to, and we will help you choose. We install hi-fi and home cinema across the New Forest and the south coast. See our audio and video work.

Questions about the SB-1000 Pro Subwoofer

Is it sold singly?

Yes, the price is for one subwoofer. Many people run two for smoother bass across the room; ask us about a matched pair.

Can I use it with a stereo amplifier that has no sub output?

Yes. It has speaker-level inputs, so you can take a feed from the amplifier’s speaker terminals alongside your main speakers.

Why do the gloss finishes cost more?

The piano gloss cabinets take more finishing work. The driver, amplifier and performance are the same in all three finishes.

Can I avoid running a cable to the subwoofer?

Yes. The USB socket on the amplifier powers the optional SVS SoundPath Wireless Audio Adapter, so the sub only needs a mains socket. Ask us and we can add one to your order.
