About the SVS Prime Pinnacle Floorstanding Speakers (Pair)

Prime is SVS’ mid-priced passive speaker family. It borrows ideas from the older Ultra range, such as aluminium dome tweeters with a shaped diffuser, separate internal chambers for each driver and chamfered front baffles, at a lower price. Pinnacle is the largest and most capable Prime speaker.

Inside, the cabinet is split into four chambers: a sealed one for the midrange and three separately tuned ones for the woofers, each with its own rear port. That spreads the bass work across three drivers so it stays controlled at higher volumes. The crossover uses air-core inductors and a two-part circuit board.

At 203 mm wide they sit comfortably beside a TV or hi-fi rack, for stereo music or as the front pair of a cinema system.

Is the price for one speaker or a pair?

A pair. You get two Prime Pinnacle towers.

What do the finishes look like?

Black Ash is a black ash-effect cabinet. Gloss Black is a piano gloss finish and costs a little more.

Prime Pinnacle or Prime Tower?

Pinnacle has three woofers instead of two and a larger glass-fibre midrange, and a taller cabinet split into four chambers. SVS rates it to 29 Hz against 30 Hz for the Prime Tower, which is smaller and lighter.
