About the PB-5000 Subwoofer

The 5000 series takes the technology SVS developed for its flagship 17-Ultra R|Evolution subwoofers and puts it into smaller cabinets. SVS sells this model in the US as the PB-5000 R|Evolution; the UK list calls it the PB-5000.

Three high-flow ports and a 15-inch dual-voice-coil driver, powered by a 2,000-watt continuous dual-mono amplifier (5,000 watts peak), give it huge output and very deep extension. Block two ports for Extended mode (down to 13 Hz) or all three for Sealed mode, and tell the app which you have chosen.

Auto EQ room calibration, a rear OLED display, RCA and balanced XLR inputs, a trigger and an IR input are built in.

Genuine UK stock from an authorised SVS dealer. Not sure which subwoofer or speaker suits your room? Tell us the size of the space and what you listen to, and we will help you choose. We install hi-fi and home cinema across the New Forest and the south coast. See our audio and video work.

Questions about the PB-5000 Subwoofer

Is it sold singly?

Yes, the price is for one subwoofer. Many people run two for smoother bass across the room; ask us about a matched pair.

Is this the PB-5000 R|Evolution?

Yes. It is the current 15-inch ported model with the 2,000-watt dual-mono amplifier and 295 MHz DSP, which SVS calls the PB-5000 R|Evolution in the US.

Do I need port bungs?

Only if you want to use the PB-5000 in its sealed (or extended) mode, which blocks some or all of the ports. Port bungs are available; ask us when you order and we will add them.

How heavy is it?

Nearly 70 kg unboxed and over 72 cm deep with the grille. It needs two or three people to move, and a clear route into the room.
