About the QED Performance Y-SW Subwoofer Y Adaptor
Some active subwoofers need both left and right channels connected to work at their best. If your amplifier or receiver has a single subwoofer output, this adaptor splits it to feed both.
It can also split a signal between two pieces of equipment, for example when bi-amping. Conductors are 99.999% oxygen-free copper in a quasi-balanced twisted pair, which brings better noise rejection to an unbalanced connection, and there is dual electrostatic shielding.
The shield should ideally connect at the source end, so arrows printed on the jacket show the direction. Connectors are 24k gold-plated.

What does it do?
It splits one RCA signal into two. The plugs go to the left and right inputs of a subwoofer, and the socket takes your subwoofer cable.
Which way round does it go?
Follow the arrows printed on the jacket. They show which end should face the source, which is where the shield should connect.
Do I need a subwoofer cable as well?
Yes. The adaptor takes a standard RCA subwoofer lead into its socket, such as QED Performance Subwoofer Cable.
