About the Q Acoustics Concept 500 Floorstanding Speakers (Pair)
Concept speakers carry Q Acoustics’ anti-resonance technology: Gelcore cabinet construction and Point to Point bracing, all aimed at the quietest cabinet possible. The Concept 500 is the top of the Concept range, made for listeners who want both the look and the performance.
Three Gelcore layers filled with a non-setting gel damp the cabinet walls and turn higher-frequency vibration into heat. Point to Point bracing handles low-frequency panel vibration, and HPE (Helmholtz Pressure Equaliser) tuning evens out pressure inside the cabinet.
Wide bandwidth, low directivity and a sensible impedance make it room-friendly and an easy load for an amplifier. Jumper links let you adjust the high frequencies by 0.5 dB up or down.
